The Unspeakable Gift!

The Unspeakable Gift!

In 2 Corinthians 9:15 Paul speaks of the unspeakable gift. Today as we celebrate Christmas, we need to think about the greatest gift of all. And that is the gift of Jesus Christ. If you know Him as your Savior this a time to reflect on the precious gift of Jesus Christ. God gave us his precious Son to die on the cross for us. What a precious, precious gift to us. Without Christ we wouldn't be able to have eternal life.

If you haven't received this gift, I implore you to accept the precious gift of Jesus Christ today and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. He died for us and gave his precious life so that we wouldn't perish but have eternal life. Accept Him into your heart today and allow Him to make your life beautiful like ONLY HE CAN.

Oh, praise God for His unspeakable, precious gift, Jesus Christ!

We love you Lord!

For God so loved the world. that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

The holidays are upon us, and it is yet the end of another Thanksgiving Holiday, but we can continue to have a thankful attitude. This year I am grateful for so many things. So I compiled a list that I would like to share with you.
The first thing that I am thankful for is God's presence. During this year, He has become my closest friend. I talk to Him about just about anything. Often when I take a break I talk to Him or muse on His goodness. He is such a good, good God and He can be trusted. I am just so thankful for the relationship that I have developed with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I am also thankful for my job. Everyday I have the awesome opportunity to love and serve children. I have been blessed.

I am thankful for my wonderful church family. Since attending my church about 4 years ago, I have developed spiritually in a way that I never anticipated. Not only has the Lord opened my eyes, but He has developed me for His glory. I have no words to really explain the impact of my church. I am thankful that God brought me there four years ago with my family. Praise God for fellowship and spiritual growth.

I am also grateful for my family. God has blessed me with four brothers and six sisters. Iron definitely sharpens iron. They have definitely encouraged me to become the woman I am today. I am grateful for my Mom and Dad. I am just grateful.

I am thankful for my salvation. Twenty-four years ago, I accepted Christ as my Savior. He has been my everything. He has changed me and allowed me to grow in His grace.

Thank you so much Lord for all of the many blessings that you have bestowed upon me. I am thankful for everything you have done for me Lord.

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."
1 Thessalonians 5:18

Contradictions

Contradictions

This world is full of contradictions. Oftentimes in school, we tell young children not to use certain words, yet the media is full of vulgar language. And the same things that children are told not to say are displayed in the films that many families sit down together and watch on a regular basis. You can tell a child not to say certain things but if you allow them to watch movies that have profanity, you are sending a mixed message. You are saying it is wrong with your lips, but you are condoning such language with your actions. This will cause your children to follow what you do. While they may not say the vulgar language, they may think it is okay to watch movies and media with vulgar language in it. In the bible we are instructed to be holy even as God is holy. The bible instructs us to flee even the very appearance of evil. Therefore as teachers, mentors, and trainers we need to focus on setting the example for others to follow. If we are going to instruct others, we need to live it out in our own lives so that children will follow our example.

"Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." 1 Peter 1:16

Prayers for the Inner Man

Prayers for the Inner Man

3 John 1:2 says, "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth." God desires that we prosper in every area of our life. Prosper means to cause to succeed or thrive. God wants us to thrive from the inside out, and prayers for the inner man does just that. So pray these prayers for yourself, your family, friends, and your church family. These are powerful prayers that are sure to bring about a change in your life. There are prayers for the inner man in Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. I will highlight these prayers below:

Ephesians 1:16-23
Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Ephesians 3:14-19

 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

Philippians 1:9-11
 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Colossians 1:9-11
 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
For each prayer you can substitute the pronouns with I, our, we, etc. in order to make it a personal, collective prayer for your loved ones and church family.
Have a wonderful day! #keep praying #loveneverfails

Summer Mission Trip to Hawaii

This summer I am planning to go on a short term mission trip to Hawaii. During the mission trip, we will be doing vacation bible school sessions, canvassing with gospel tracts, and completing work projects. The funds will go towards the cost of the flight, lodging arrangements and food. I ask that you would consider supporting me in this endeavor, as I seek to serve the Lord in the reaching the nations. Thanks so much! If you are interested in financially supporting me, you may learn more about this trip and contribute at the following link: Hawaii Mission Trip

The Lost Art of Doing One Thing at a Time

The Lost Art of Doing One Thing at a Time
(Spring Break Reflections)

When you are working on something, do you find yourself wanting to do something else at the same time? For example, when you're watching television are you tempted to check your notifications on facebook as well? We seem to think that we can do both things at the same time. Sure, you can do two things at one time but you will not have your full attention on one thing, so you will lose some information while trying to do two things at the same time. How many times have you sat down with a plate of food and just enjoyed eating it without any other distractions? Why is it that we oftentimes want to eat and watch t.v. at the same time (myself included)? When you are watching t.v. you can't really focus on what you are eating. In this day and age of endless technology options, constant updates on facebook newsfeed, and endless opportunities for entertainment options, it is sometimes hard to focus on one thing at a time, but it can be done. If you would like to enjoy your life, then you need to slow down and enjoy the small pleasures that God blesses us with each and every day in life.

3 Tips that can help you slow down

1. Instead of trying to do several things in one day that you enjoy, choose two or three hobbies to complete in one day. If you do this, you will enjoy what you choose to do much more then trying to cram everything into one day.

2. Do one thing at a time. This may be difficult to do at first, but try doing it and you will be amazed at how enjoyable daily tasks and past times become. (I'm still working on this one)

3. When you're walking outside, stop and observe what is around you and enjoy the beauty of God's nature.

New Year Resolutions 2018

New Year Resolutions

1. As I sit here and ponder, at the start of this new year of 2018, each day I would like to write one thing that I am thankful for each day on my calender. I think that this will create in me a thankful heart.

2. I want to be flexible.

3. I want to make more time for friends.

4. I want to serve God by serving others like I've never served before.

5. I want to read more books by A.W. Tozer. I am currently reading The Knowledge of the Holy and it has blown me away.

6. I want to rest in God and allow Him to work in my life and change me from glory to glory.

Although this list is short and sweet, I think that it is to the point and lists goals that are attainable with the Lord's help.

Happy New Year!!!
