Unheard

                                                                 Unheard

Is your voice unheard? There are so many talented and intellectual beings that go unnoticed every day. To them it feels like their forgotten and unimportant. In this world that encourages people to follow their dreams it’s kind of hard not to feel that way. Yet our life is defined by what God's says first and foremost. A lot of people talk a lot of nonsense, some words that would be better left unsaid. I believe everyone has a  unique voice that is made to be heard in some way or another.

If you’re not being seen or heard it doesn’t mean you’re not important. Cliché statement huh? The truth of the matter is it has serious depth. How many great writers and artists voices went unheard for most of their lives? Yet now their books are being read across the world and their paintings are being hung in king’s palaces. Most likely you’re not being heard, because most people are caught up with themselves, rich familiar faces or advertised ones. Oftentimes people are slow at letting someone else in the loop. When you’re a new attractive emerging artist with 10,000 ads displaying your fresh face people are sure to be intrigued. Thus, oftentimes look over people who aren’t dressed a certain way or who don’t meet our typical standard are overlooked. YouTube has created a voice for the voiceless, but where is the true comfort and love when the computer shuts off and all those subscribers are no where to be found. The sad part is most of those well-known people  and their fans alike are clueless about who they truly are. They let others like the director, media or fans tell them who to be. To be truly heard there is something deeper to be found, and that is our identity.

Our voice truly counts when were comfortable with who we are and when we have the right perspective of life. No one can be complete without knowing their creator. The God who created us knows more about what’s inside of us than we do. God has a detailed plan for each and every one of us.He hears our voice even when others don't.Being heard is a desire in the basic circumstances like being heard by your parents, family, husband, friends and some people the world. The desire to be heard is not just for popularity it actually aligns with our confidence. We all want to feel treasured and loved. Our voice was given to  to be heard in a unique and wonderful way.Everyone wasn't made to be a public speaker, preacher or singer, but in some way God made us to speak and be heard. God wants your voice to be heard, but more importantly he wants his voice to be heard through you. It's what God says that is most important.God’s words are the answer to every problem. We can’t help anyone solve a problem without using the words of our father. God words are immortal and can work through centuries. As the world changes God words of truth and comfort stay the same. Additionally, it heals, restores, saves , plants and brings hope. Our father is smarter than us. If we learn from the best (God) we’ll be the best person we can be. God can give new meaning to your life. You know even when no one else is listening God is and always desire's to hear your precious voice. Many people were never known, nor their talents unleashed until they had an encounter with God. How can you be heard? How can your life have purpose? How can you find the confidence to speak in your own voice? Have an encounter with God, he will make  your story worth telling and your voice worth being heard. We are all born a half until we unite with God that’s when we truly become whole.

Honor the King: A Political Yet Non-Politically Note

Honor the King: A Political Yet Non-Politically Note (Unedited)

WARNING: No political pun intended.

As Christians we have an obligation the 1st to stand for biblical principles obviously. I cannot and will vote for someone who goes against my biblical principles. The second is to respect whosoever is in authority rather he/she is your preferred candidate or not. God commands us to honor and respect kings in authority. Honor all men; love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the KING. (1 Peter 2:17) Obey your LEADERS, and submit to them; for they keep watch over your souls, as those who will give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you. (Hebrews 13:17) Despite our democracy the president position is still in line with that of a modern day king.

The president is in one of the greatest leadership positions in the whole United States. I’m not here to get into a political debate, that’s not what this note is about. Politically, I stand with the bible and I'm 100% against SIN.  This article takes the position of respect for leadership,or rather the lack thereof within the Christian community.I have been generally appalled at the rise of  brazen disrespect, particularly within the Christian community. Since President Obama has been in office, I've heard Christian comments and seen Christian magazines with statements like: he's dumb, God hates him, he's the antichrist, he's the devil to saying he’s crude and rude disrespectful jokes. Is that how you would want to be treated?

What must the liberals think, when they see such crude propaganda being propagated from within the “Christian community”. This just doesn’t apply to Obama but all the men and women in leadership that are disrespected by Christians. I’ve seen Christians give more respect to a secular atheist film star, than I have the President of the United States or a Politician.

There are many examples of Great men of God who respected the secular Kings in power (not supported their wrongdoing, but respected them). Here are some examples: Daniel respected and even worked for Nebuchadnezzar, David respected Saul, and even Jesus the son of God respected Pilate and Herod.Jesus says   Mark 12:32 (KJV)   Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Perhaps it’s time to get off this agenda of defaming the President at every turn. He needs salvation like so many others and that can only happen through prayer and being a true witness of Christ. Perhaps it's time to look deep in your heart and identify the cause of this bitterness and let it go. Perhaps it's time to seek God's face concerning the issues at hand. This country will progress when people's hearts progress towards God again. The President is only a pawn in a much bigger plan. It is often said hate the sin and love the sinner. The love of God his grace and mercy  needs to be extended to the president , because Jesus died for him just as he did for you and me.

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior…” -1 Timothy 2:1-3

What is a Christian: Christianity in America

                                     What is a Christian?

Christianity in America

In America roughly two-thirds claim to be Christians. Yet it seems different from the early church. This "Christian" society/nation is almost completely secularized. Morals and values have been debased. Many are too lazy or busy to read their bibles, pray, help someone else or even go to church. This new society are what I call "Tag Christians". Like someone who wear’s a famous designer label, and that designer is  Jesus , a designer whom they like and admire yet have never met.

Meanwhile on the other side of the world, people words and claims are few, but their sacrifices are many. They smuggle bibles in for people who are greedy and hungry for the word of God. They are persecuted beyond exhaustion. Their dictated with laws that have ruthless consequences. They met underground in a rat hole to commune with other Christian brethren and learn. This is not to say Christian Americans don’t have their fair share of trials. But that pertains to those who are actually saved. There are so many that barely read their "brand new" bible, that's sitting on the table right next to them, their life resembles an unbeliever.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)
Now  this is not about me condemning, bashing or judging the Christians in America. I can only speak about a country, I've grown up in and know. I have even found myself to have fallen short in the past. It's not until we open our eyes and understanding, that we start to see the broken frame of Christianity. Open your eyes and  look at your life and what's happening all around you. Maybe then something will began to awaken inside you. It all begins with understanding what a Christian really is.

What is a Christian according to the bible? What did the Christian's in the early church do? Ichtus the sign of Christianity in the early church represented commitment. It was a sign to others who believed. Many become martyrs for the faith.

Saint Stephen was stoned and some 2,000 other Christians suffered at the time of Stephen's persecution.
Matthew the Evangelist killed by a halberd a crude two sided ax like weapon in 60 A.D.
Saint Bartholomew Skinned alive and crucified.
James the Just, beaten to death by a club after being crucified and stoned.
    Matthias was stoned and beheaded.
    Mark was beaten to death.
    Prophet Isaiah sawed in half
    Saint Peter, crucified upside-down.
    Apostle Paul, beheaded in Rome.
Thomas the Apostle was killed by a spear.
    Luke the Evangelist was hanged.
Simon the Zealot was crucified in 74 A.D.Antipas of Pergamum, according to tradition, roasted to death in a brazen bull

This should arise something in you, and make you think. How many Christians today would be willing to die for Jesus Christ? How many would claim him with a knife at their throat? We say so much, but oftentimes do so little. We say I would die for Christ, but how can you die for him, when you can't even live for him? It’s time to realize and accept who we are if we call ourselves a Christian. .Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (James 2:17) If we are only Christians in name but not deed, we've lost the meaning of what a Christian truly is.

I encourage my fellow brethen and sisters  who  proclaim Christianity to live a righteous life. If you've fallen away repent and renew your faith to God. Be dillgent and walk in  the spirit, sing, obey and love God with all your heart, and love your brethen and live your life according to the bible. Our world today is crying out for some visual hope. Some lives that will prove the existence of God. In a world with so much unbelief and anti-God propaganda, we must prove the existence of God. How? Through our living testimonies. We after all are the light of the world, it’s time to shine!

Be Still……Embrace Simplicity

              Be Still……Embrace Simplicity

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.  (Matthew 6:33)

I'm too busy!!!!!!. My life is full of duties and meetings with little time left! Does this strike a chord in you? You probably have often heard it said that happiness lies in simplicity. You’ve seen the old movies and stories where a princess lives her life in a castle, yet  longs to live in the outside world. A world where peasant struggles day to day,but they love their family and their kids. There is nothing they wouldn't do for one another. Life is simple but good. We have heard and read and seen this common theme in literature and art, but have we ever really thought this might be the answer. Apparently we have to make a living in this world, we have to work, we have to commit to the ministry God has given to us, we have to be a wife, husband, daughter or neighbor, these are all priorities. However, God still desires that we keep him first in our lives as the main priority.

A huge percentage of Americans lives are lived outside the home. People often compare the home, to being in a convent. (A convent doesn't sound bad to me.) Or they've got to be starring at a t.v screen 24/7. Some people are not living life, their escaping it. Their escaping the simplicity of life that secretly gives us so much joy. When me and my family moved , we noticed how much unnecessary stuff we had. This stuff was barely being used yet it was taking up huge quantities of space.  Well there has since been a  cleansing of these items and that has become a continual process. We should only hold on to things we truly value. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. ( 1 Timothy 6:7)

How often in our busy lives do we ignore our loved ones. Children often left to the care of others and spouses often live as tenants passing each other by. I will forever treasure the time I spent with my Mom and Dad as a child. This world system is busy, but we don’t have to be, we can cater our life to God’s word. We can value what matters must and spend time on those things. Whether were busy doing good or making a living. We should never be to busy to get to know our children and spouse,or to pray and spend time with God everyday. The bible says: There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. My life is different than that of a married woman. As an  unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.(1 Corinthians 7:34) If you neglect what is most important in life, one day you will turn around and realize your kids are grown and gone, your relationship with your spouse and God is dry and life has passed you by.Things may change, but God remains the same.I don’t want to live my life on the freeway, coming home weary eyed and ready to retire in bed. Or watching others live their lives adventurously, while I do nothing. I have determined never to be so busy that I can't spend quality time with God or my family. Make an effort to determine the same in your life as well.

Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”Psalm 46:10

But Jesus says :I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.( John 10:10)

The Ugly, the Bad and the Beautiful

The Ugly, the Bad and the Beautiful

Life may seem a little gruff right now. Everything may seem tangled, rotten and ugly. You may have a sickness that is ravaging your body and what was once so beautiful is destroying itself. You may be going through hard and rocky mountain trials and you wonder will you ever reach the peak. Well Jesus knows the very spot where you are, for he was there.
He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:3-5)

The beauty of Christ’s story which is the guide for our lives is that it ends in beauty. Furthermore, Christ not only experienced pain, but joy on earth. He experienced laughter, the fulfillment of healing those who were broken and sick, friendship, peace and ultimate fellowship with the father. Just as he experienced all these things we can on earth alongside trials.  We can be happy, whole and at peace on earth amidst the pain, trials and hardship. His crucifixion was ugly, but it ended in ultimate beauty. He died but resurrected beautiful, bright and shining and ascended back to heaven. God not only knows where you are, but where you will be.
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.(1 Corinthians 2:9)
