A Stranger Paid My Bill (The Heart Of Christmas)
I was in dollar tree grabbing a few things for myself and getting more gifts and things for people and somethings to help out my Mom. I was joyful and and thriving on the wonder of this Christmas season. After I finished shopping I was standing in line and a stranger pointed out a shorter line, I thanked him in relief, the line I had been standing was super long. When the cashier finished ringing up all my items I went to pay the cashier the total of my bill and the stranger suddenly stepped in and said that's okay I got the bill, after assuring me he had it and I thanked him, he concluded with a joyful Merry Christmas! I could see a lot of the people in the store were surprised at this genuine act of kindness but no one was more surprised than I. It's funny I was going out my way to buy somethings to give to someone and in the process someone gave to me. I rushed to my sister in the car to tell her what happened, when I turned back to show my sister the stranger who showed me this act of kindness he was gone maybe an angel or just a giving person??? I couldn't get over the fact that my bill was free. This reminded me of God's gifts to us which are bountiful and free.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16 (KJV)
God has truly offered us the greatast gift we can recieve and it's free. I don't know if the stranger was an angel or just a nice person, but God used him to bless me.This is just one of the blessings I've received this wonderful season and this year, giving, honoring God's gift to us and love for one another is the heart of this season! #given#stillhasntregistered #theheartofchristmas #thegiftofgiving #loveoneanother#aschristlovesus

21 Myths (Even Good) Girls Believe About Sex Interview with Jennifer Strickland
What compelled you to
write on this topic?
A publisher had an idea for a book on the myths of sex and they were looking for a writer. So they asked me and I believed I could write on this topic . For a year it was
like a romance with God totally in zone with him. This book was God's idea. Sex covers so many topics, I know the bad sides
and many women have experienced much worse things. I have a healthy
relationship with my husband so I knew the good and the bad and know I could
help people to defer between the two. There are so many topics about sex including but not limited to" homosexuality, STDs, marriage,
sexual sin, sex trafficking, abortion. I’m honored to have had the opportunity to write this book and I hope it
will help a lot of women.
What are some of the
myths girls buy into?
There are so many myths. But one myth is your body is separate from your
soul in the modeling industry they told me you can give your body away and your soul is not affected, however your body is connected to
your soul. When you give your body away you give away your heart & soul. That’s
why we get heartbreak because those relationships where we’ve
been sexually active get torn apart or broken up. The body and soul are
connected, just like when a woman has a baby it happens in her body but it soul’s
connected.Another one of the myths is that sex is casual. (friends with benefits) A lot of girls wonder why do I have an eating disorder why am I depressed? Their giving away their
body their precious temple and they wonder why they’re feeling this way. I
spoke at a college recently on body image the more I talked the more I realized
the majority of the girls were sexually active and they wonder why they don’t feel good in their body. Inside of marriage you’re
united under the covenant there is no shame it's just beautiful, but outside of marriage it's not.Another myth is sex is a part of dating, but sex is part of marriage it’s the fabric and
where the babies come from. Another myth is I plan my pregnancies, but God controls
the womb. God created us before the womb, in Isaiah 49:5 it says God called us before the womb. Another myth is that prostitutes, and such like are dirty, but most of them have been
abused. They were violated and they deserve our compassion their broken and need our love. The book talks on homosexuals are we loving them well, reaching out, we need to provide resources that will help them get out of that lifestyle. We meed to work with them help them and love them. The bible does say Homosexuality is a sin, but we have to present grace and truth.
Ultimately, it’s a book about love and single women, being
the bride of Christ, protecting your body, letting God fill your cup, in this book there is a lot of hope for single women, .
This book is about love and grace love of God and forgiveness. Songs of Solomon
doesn’t even use the word sex, it’s about love the way God talks to us.
Prince Charming ideal
How can young girls refocus and change that Prince Charming
mindset?
In marriage my husband wasn’t perfect and I realized I had been disillusioned about marriage and men. If you put your trust in man it well be like Jeremiah said a
parched desert, but with God it will be like a watered stream.( expectations for a man vs. God)
Changing your focus as a single woman and even in marriage
and get your eyes on God. The more you look to God the more fulfilled you will be and the more you will be able to love. Fix your eyes on God.
Abortion what about women who
have had abortions are considering it?
God is the creator of life and the finisher he’s God and were
not. He does create us in our mother womb, he will call us home one day and we
are not to play God. Another problem concerning abortion is the father has little to no rights concerning his own
child, a lot of men are angry who have experienced this. We have lifted woman up like Gods, they say woman get to choose,it's their body, but it’s not our body it’s God's body and we get
to choose. We must choose life. In Deuteronomy 30:19 God says I have set before you death and life choose
life. Woman who have abortions are effected the rest of their life, even woman
in their 40’s still struggle, some of these woman are going into the pregnancy
centers and are loving and encouraging girls using their mistake as a way to encourage others to make the right choice. Pregnancy agencies have so many resources now :jobs, adoption, medical
care. There are so many ministries and pregnancy resources for women who need to heal or make the right decisions and bible studies for woman who
have experienced abortions. If you've had an abortion God can forgive you. Many broken woman who have made the wrong decisions have been redeemed and now are making a great impact in the world.
Purity
How does a young
person keep them self pure and avoid the media’s influence?
It takes real grit and deep conviction to stand up for you believe.
Even if your home and everyone is out partying that's okay. It is also wise not to drink at all,you must have strong boundaries. Concerning dating stay in public places (not secluded places). Believe that you’re more, that’s faith believe.
If you feel like it's for you to get married believe he’s worth it and you’re worth
it. However, don’t save sex for the promise that once you get married sex will be amazing,
save sex as a devotion to God. If you save it with the mindset that I’ll meet a
perfect man and sex life will be amazing that's wrong, the bible says the pure in heart we will see God.

Put Your Prayers Into Action!
If you really want to be FREE or experience GROWTH in an area of your life as a Christian, then there must come a time when your prayers turn into action, and your actions represent the sincerity of your prayers. If you're truly praying with a contrite heart believing that God can and will answer your request then your actions must follow, that is the evidence of your faith. It starts with submitting your mind, body, soul, time and decisions to God. For example if you want to run a marathon you will do whatever training is necessary to successfully run that marathon.Faith without works is dead.If you want to be free or experience growth, put your prayers into action. Bottom line if you want to be free or grow you will do whatever it takes to be free, faith is not just belief it's action.!!!That first action is submitting to god in whatever area he may be dealing with you about. Give God everything, trust him completely, and act like you believe by getting in action.
James 2:14-26 - What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
James 2:24 - Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
James 2:18 - Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

A Letter to the LAzy Christian
They say confession is good for the soul,so here I go, you may feel down because your performance on the godly field hasn't been very successful,it's been lazy and to be honest I've felt that way myself last year, and a little this year. The truth is the great commission burns in my heart like a flame, but I confess in the past year,I've taken the great commission lightly,I've stuck my foot in the water, but have not been submerged, I've often allowed others to carry out the call alone,I've been too caught up in my own personal struggles, trials and strengthening my own faith alone. Meanwhile people have crossed my path, never to come my direction again, and I regret that I never took the time to tell them of God, sin or being born again. I've just be doing the minimum here and there yet not nearly enough. In the end the sad truth is sometimes we can never go back,to that person we should have helped or the youngster that needed to hear the word of God that has taken a bad turn, while I go on living with good intentions, but little action, souls all around are lost and going to hell. While I go on living for me, I can't clearly see how many people are hurting, because they don't know the power of the cross.Coming to this growing realization made me sick to my stomach.I could give a dozen excuses, but they would all fade like a vapor, because one day I will stand before a holy God and give an account for opportunities that I've missed and oh how many they probably are. I pray God will forgive me. I can't go back in time and take advantage of those opportunities carelessly lost, but I pray that I may boldly take advantage of the opportunities in the future with those who are lost,to share the life-changing message of the cross.
Thank you for reading a piece of my heart, your prayers would truly be appreciated, not for me but for the lost souls around us that are longing to know the Lord.May we all do our part to fulfill the great commission."#Luke12:48

Jennifer Strickland Interview Pt. 1 (Testimony)
Me: Could you tell me a little bit about how you got into the modeling industry and how you came out of it and became a Christian?
Jennifer Strickland:I got into the modeling industry at an early age my Mom and I were very naive about modeling world, all we saw was the glamour and the great opportunities. At 17, I signed with what is known as Ford models now. I was six foot tall and was made a lot of promises, went to Europe and spend my first summer in Germany. For 4 or 5 years
I pursued the modeling industry ,I was a working model and made a good career, however, it was hard work some days I had 10-15 interviews to go to. I was traveling around the world modeling, because I was still in school I didn’t do the runaway. I felt sometimes like I was living a double life, I would go to school for journalism and get like an A on a paper and do that and then go and model and become any part( bride, teenager) that they needed to be. In college I got involved in alcohol and the sorority.
While in school I maintained a healthy weight and didn’t do runway just tv commercials, catalogs, etc. I believe staying in school maintained my sanity. When I graduated I got an opportunity and signed with FORD New York. I first went to Milan, there I began to starve myself, there was no other way, I would also take fat burners, exercised excessively. I met Gorgio Armani and not just him his family and kept getting callback at first I stumbled on the runaway and was sent away, but eventually came back around and worked the runway for him. They would put their hands around your waist and you got rewards for being skinny in complaints.
It starts messing with your mind though, because there is no end with anorexia it’s an ongoing struggle because you’re never thin enough. I was taken advantage of by a photographer, I had a lot of emotional pain from being exposed and exploited in the business. I lost my sense of self worth, came home for the holidays and my Mom was worried about my size so she fed me a lot, when I came back from holiday Armani could tell I gained a little weight like 4 pounds. He kicked me off the runway in front of everybody, it was so humiliating and took the clothes and everything and left me standing their embarrassed. While modeling in Europe there was a language barrier you don’t really understand what their saying, so that made it worse, their just looking at your image. After this I went on a journey to find out what beauty was. After I got kicked out I was crying and a man came asking why I was crying life is beautiful in Italian.
I began to search for the real beauty in life. After losing my jobs in Milan and I was stolen from and humbled. I began to go to churches in Rome and look at the depictions of Jesus. My beauty began to be taken away. I was breaking out from anorexia and substance abuse, my hair was falling out, I had dark circles under my eyes. I met this girl outside of Rome she told me about Jesus that he could heal me when I was ready, I wasn’t ready at that time. She prayed for me and shortly after I fled from men who had exploited, mistreated and verbally abused me. I thought if I made enough money I would be free, and my family wanted me to keep pursuing modeling. Shortly after this I contemplated suicide, I met people passing out bibles in the park and they were so sweet with kind eyes. They invited me to their church. (me:as she tells me about this Jennifer goes and shows me the German new testament bible, very old and very well loved )I came to church 2 or 3 times. I would read on the interviews and the train once I read though Matthew I was ready to give my life to Christ,I fasted for a week in a hostel in Germany.
I gave my life to God and was delivered and set free of Anoxeria was totally healed. I came back tot the church and they rejoiced and eventually sent me home. I took the money I made from modeling and went back to school. It was then that I started writing my my first book Girl Perfect. At school I always felt good, (confident) besides I had gifts(skills and abilities) and that’s the problem girls base their identity on what they see but they have gifts, you have gifts!I put my book away and eventually got married. My husband was the protector that I never really had God blessed me with that protection and love. I had two babies right away. My husband encouraged and pushed me to write and publish my first book. I wrote Girl Perfect and was sold international and now I get letters from people and so many hurting girls.
Me: Do parents ever ask you about putting their child into
modeling and your advice on it.
Jennifer Strickland: This business sets girls up to be behind the camera with older men. He’s 30-60 and you’re a teenager or early twenties. There are girls that have been able to have a quality career but, it’s really hard to have your parents with you, parents will often say I'll stay with my child to every interview and modeling job, but, what about when she’s eighteen I was taken advantage of when I was 18,19,20,21. There is no way I would let my daughter go into the industry, because I want her to discover and use her gifts, why would I set her up to be compared to other girls constantly it’s not healthy I know super strong Christian moms, but most of the time I say no.
Me:From your books it so clear what the modeling industry is
and what you’re doing now has so much more a powerful impact because modeling
is often self-centered.
Jennifer Strickland: The new reward after ending a eating disorder becomes that
you give of yourself, like when I get these letters and a review on my latest
book 21 myths good girls believe about sex, a girl wrote a review that when she
accepted Christ at one of my events that all these years she carried guilt of
sexual sin a, reading this book helped her forgive herself made me cry that is
my reward, that’s why I’m doing this and it’s so fulfilling. Can’t place your
value on your body because it’s constantly changing.
Me: How you went to college and become a writer is really
encouraging to girls to use their god given gifts. The Second Part will be coming soon with information regarding her newest book 21 Myths Good Girls Believe About Sex and a book giveaway please comment if you'd like to enter to win one of her life-changing books and specify which one!

Why Christians Don't Have To Fall Into Sin
1st God's power has not dimmed nor his hand shortened,(Isaiah 59:1)Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
2nd Although we live in a modern world, the bible says there is nothing is new under the sun,(Ecclesiastes 1:9) The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
3rd People are driven away by their "own" lust (James 1:14)But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
4th God is able to keep us from falling and will not suffer us to be tempted beyond which we can stand,(Jude 1:24)Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
Lastly, sin does not dominate the Christian, the Christian dominates sin, it should not have dominion over us!!!(Romans 6:14)For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
In conclusion explanations may explain the progression of sin logically, but they don't offer the solution, the word of God does, repentance is necessary and a love for Jesus Christ. Remember we have not resisted unto blood,(Hebrews 12:4)there is no sin nor temptation nor declaration that can keep you from standing firm and righteous in God if you desire to, only you can stand in your way.#chooserighteousness #liveforchrist#withoutblemish

Beach Diaries
Beach Diaries
Wilmington NC
As I stare out at the blue, translucent water, I feel closer to God. Your creation is a great wonder to see. A beauty to behold! The Holy Spirit brings to my mind, "they looked at the one on whom they had pierced." I say a silent prayer for unsaved loved ones as I feel the waves beckoning me to come in deeper. I pray that my unsaved relatives will look on the one that they have pierced and realize that it was their sins that nailed Jesus to the cross and repent and get saved. I walk in deeper allowing the waves to capsize my ankles. Yes Lord, I will go deeper I say in my heart. I take His hand. I choose to trust. As the child held my hand, she beckoned me forward. I took a step forward in childlike faith.

Reflections of Africa :3 Lessons I Learned
- COURAGE:Going to foreign lands to minister the gospel takes courage and it takes perseverance. This was my first mission trip to Africa and even though it was dream come true, there are all sorts of dangers that you can face. However, I quoted Scripture and spent time in God's word being strengthened spiritually and it was awesome! One of my favorite verses is :For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7(KJV)
- Love & Barriers:To connect between cultural and language barriers
it takes the love of Christ which transcends all barriers. We may live in
different countries, but I learned that our heart cries out for God the
same.Language is no barrier when Jesus Christ is in your heart. So having your
heart pliable and open to God and filled with his love is very important and
helps with communicating.
- Preparation Is Necessary:The great commission God has given to us to go across the world starts where you're at right now.Preparation is necessary, I learned if you're going to share the gospel of Jesus of Christ in vast countries you must prepare yourself physically, mentally and spiritually right at home. Before going to Africa I pumped up my diet with more greens and vitamins. I brushed up on my French. and I dedicated prayer and devotion time to God even the more before going on the trip.
In conclusion going on a mission trip can really be beneficial spiritually, physically and mentally. I came back so enriched and feeling more vibrant and excited about God's word and ministry than ever! Looking forward to my upcoming trip to Mexico!

Woman of Faith In The Spotlight: Jennifer Strickland
Jen began modeling at eight years old. From the time she was seventeen till she left the modeling world at twenty-two, she modeled internationally throughout the United States and Europe. Her gripping story unveils the pain women experience when their life is based on outward appearance, and points us towards a relationship with God which gives us the power to overcome any life circumstance. During those years, she walked the runway for Giorgio Armani, modeled for Olay, Converse, Mercedes Benz, Eddie Bauer and Jordache; and appeared in Vogue, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and Seventeen. She even appeared as Barbie for the 35th anniversary of the doll in Europe. But at the height of her career, her heart hit rock bottom, and she found a relationship with God which gave her the freedom to leave a business that degraded women's worth and led her to return to school to attain her Master's degree in Writing and Literature. Having completed her Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism, Jen built upon her foundation as a writer to publish her story.

LADIES YOU'RE WORTH IT
I have seen and heard of so many ladies who sell out on
integrity for popularity, men, money, friends, fitting in, status you name it.
It breaks my heart because I know God made you for more. I have decided to sell
out for Christ, no matter what the cost. I’m not perfect but I’m saved, I seek
God for guidance, strength and direction, I repent , my heart is willing to
follow him and his ways, to walk in the spirit and not the flesh, my heart is
filled day by day with love for God , always learning and growing. God has been
good to me and I want to be good to him. What merit is there in using my youth
for unrighteous, what does it profit, what does it gain? A low self esteem,a
broken heart,a cheap thrill, no I want more. For I know my youth will crumble,
my beauty will one day fade, but God will stand by my side forever and always.
My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart and my
portion forever.(Psalm 73:26) Girls don't sell out on God,he didn’t
sell out on you. (Romans 8:32 )
He gave up everything for you,so give up everything for
him. He didn’t die for us to remain in sin, but to be free from sin, don’t
choose sin, don’t sell out, I promise you the pay off of sin is always
deceptive, cheap and small, but God is beyond anything we could pursue in this
world, he's totally worth it. Let your life be one where the younger girls
admire you, the men respect you, God honors you, you have a repentant heart,
where your life has purpose and substance, and your parents are proud of you.
Being a lady with respect, honor, dignity and discreetness never fails nor goes
out of style. Esther will be remembered forever for her royalty, dignity,
humility and courageousness, Ruth throughout generations as a woman redeemed,
Mary the mother of Jesus who humbly and graciously was used by God to bring
forth the Messiah ,Mary Magdalene who fell, but was risen back up to be an
example for all the girls who think God won't accept them, all these women and
more are examples to us that serving God with all our mind, heart body and soul
is the way to go!
Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who
fears the LORD, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:10
The Perfect Image
There are a lot of
views on our weight and body image in America mostly of which are highly bias
and preposterous. In this misconstrued judgment of weight we miss one of
the main components of our image and that is individuality. I’ve learned and am
learning that we must work according to our “own” bodies and how God made us.
When we continually look at others and compare ourselves, we get off base and
take away the individually that God made us with, which is so beautiful and
unique. If you have broad shoulders and compare yourself to someone with narrow
shoulders your judgement is misconstrued and unbalanced. If I compare my round
face with a narrow face, I’m taking away the beauty and individuality of
both, because their both equal. Another component we lack in society today is
honor when we try and imitate people or celebrities that display lots of skin
in their outfits and make status quo fashion choices,we take our Godly belt of
honor down a few notches. We actually strip ourselves of the royal privilege
and title of being a daughter of the King of Kings.
Personally, for me it's not about being an "ideal size" ,or flaunting my figure, or getting attention it's about taking care of my body, being in the best shape that I can be, so I can feel healthy, look healthy, and be happy. In addition to be able to present my body in a way that's flattering, pretty and honorable to God. And most importantly working towards Godly perfection which starts inside (Matthew 5:48 So be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.)The moral of this Friday evening chit chat LOVE yourself and do the best with what you've got, because there is only one you, and the bible says you are fearfully and wonderfully made and remember true beauty as defined by God begins in the inside!

am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul
knoweth right well. (Psalm 139:14b&c) (KJV)

Discretion for the Godly Girl
Discretion for the Godly Girl
The word discretion is mentioned many times in the book of
Proverbs in the Bible. Nowadays, discretion is not a word used very often but
it is so important for a woman because if we’re not careful we can place
ourselves in situations that are potentially dangerous, not only spiritually
and mentally but could lead to physical danger as well. However, discretion is
a powerful weapon that we can use in our everyday lives that will keep us from
falling into pitfalls and traps that the devil will try to set up. For 1
Peter 5:8 reads, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a
roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” We can avoid a lot of
pain and pitfalls if we are watchful and use discretion in our everyday lives.
So just what is discretion? I’m so glad you asked. According to Merriam-Webster
Dictionary, discretion is defined as the right to choose what should be done in
a particular situation or the quality of being careful about what you do and
say so that people will not be embarrassed or offended or the quality of being
discreet.
Have you ever wondered if you should court a particular
individual, or if you should stay in an environment that is tempting? Well in
situations such as these one should use discretion. If you want to court
someone just to chase away your loneliness then you should run the other way. And if you’re in a tempting environment you
should always run. But if you are making your decisions without using
discretion then you could end up in world of trouble. God will restore you but
what if you could have continued smooth sailing in your walk with the Lord
instead of meeting unnecessary bumps in the road? The answer is simple.
Choosing to be discreet wins every time. If you err on the side of caution in
any situation that could potentially bring you harm, then you can win EVERY TIME!
In Proverbs 2:11 it states, “Discretion
shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:” So if you want to remain
protected out of reach of the enemy use discretion every time because as Godly
women of God we have to set the example and continue to walk out our Christian lives
in purity and truth free of mangled webs and bumpy messes.
"Keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck." Proverbs 3:21b-22
